Throughout the modules, I gained a deeper understanding of various new software tools that were instrumental in completing my animation. I explored different materials and applied them while creating a world of witches, both in group settings and during individual creative processes.
In both groups I was part of, we were able to communicate and connect our ideas easily. I feel like this was one of the biggest contributors towards the enjoyable time we spent building this story.
One of the main topics I learned about that significantly enhanced my skills was composition and colour. While these concepts can be complex, the assistance and feedback from my instructors helped me easily adjust my sketches along the way.
I believe that my strong organizational skills during the creation stages and throughout the animation process allowed me to effectively achieve the finished piece as I had envisioned it.
As I progressed, I had to make significant revisions to my storyboard, adjusting the length and timing for each sequence. I ensured that these changes did not disrupt the overall story or my group’s animations by adapting the transition scenes in a way that preserved their emotion and meaning.
Although I am pleased with the final result of the animation, I recognize that some frames displayed issues with perspective, making them appear crooked during movement.
Another area I aim to improve is the application of fundamentals to enhance the fluidity and appeal of the motions. Throughout this assessment, I made sure to keep a variety of reference materials on hand to ensure my animation adhered to these standards.
I look forward to further exploring the fundamentals of 2D animation in upcoming modules, with a particular focus on colour to elevate the quality of my work.
I hope to explore more of the fundamentals through 2d animation in the following modules, focusing on topics such as colour to advance the quality of my work.
