After getting some constructive criticism on my animatic from classmates, I checked back with the group to confirm our transition scenes aligned and our formats would be the same. During this time, I focused on making sure all past exercises had been finished and that I had updated the information in the blog.
The feedback on the final animatic was positive and we were directed to start testing the rough animation. I researched a few more gifs to improve the lightning part, making sure to off the panning shot towards the cauldron to shorten the video’s length.
I decided the background and some details in my part should have a few different animated details, like fire light or bubbling in the cauldron. These details make the whole environment less still when we started the rough animation step. I wanted to have more magical effects to connect it to the other scenes, but with James’ part having the flight section I thought it was not necessary.
