In this weeks class, we discussed the use of color; and how it is used. Color can be manipulate within a scene to convey emotions or to set an atmosphere. We talked about how it can greatly alter the impact or mood of a sequence or scene within film and TV.

Class exercise 1

We were given a template image to color. Our task was to create our very own color palette, and use it to color the template. We had to keep in mind what mood the colors might help convey.

Class exercise 2

Our next task had us organized into our main groups, Mine being group 1 ‘Entomologists.’ We had to create 5 color palettes that we found appealing to use, or might look good within our world

Homework task

Our homework task for this week was to choose one of our sketches from last week’s homework and apply a color palette from today. I decided to choose the color palette that would match best with my chosen sketch.

I’m not exactly fantastic with color, but I hope to improve during the course.
