I have always had the theory that, art and science have much more in common than people would know, let me explain, the structure and hierarchy are very similar you have specialists in the field you have novices, you have people who specialise in certain aspects yet lacking others, because you wouldn’t ask an Astrophysicist to explain microbiology, nor would you expect an abstract artist to do realism. The dogma that exists in science exists within art similarly. Every artist/scientist has their own theory of what their practice is meant to be, they scoff at an idea that they find lacklustre or don’t see the purpose of the theory, An artist or scientist can spend their whole life refining practising their ideals and their craft, just for it to go nowhere but it will take a new generation to take that idea and make it their own and become successful with it. As there have been many theories that have been scoffed at for its time but then proven further down the line, like that of Van Gogh his style was mocked and therefore not appreciated during his time but now he is revered as a genius. Most importantly both crafts your life consuming but you cannot be a successful scientist or artist if you do not make it your life.
