Ice Breaker scavenger hunt

Each group was given the task of taking photos or creating media related to a list of descriptions. We had to think outside the box and explore the area looking for interesting objects to fit the descriptions. This gave us the chance to get to know our classmates. Given the short amount of time we had, it was a challenge to find unique interpretations of the descriptions but I think we all gave creative ideas and worked well together to complete the brief.

Overall I think well, it was a fun way to work together and get to know our classmates!

A weird shape!

We looked around Ulster Uni and outside, the weirdest shape we found was a seat that was at the MAC.

Mystery Item!

A fun and crazy pattern we found! It belonged to a chair on campus.

Something that looks cool!

An interesting compositional piece that belong to an exhibit in the MAC, by local artist Anne Tallentire.

Pets!

Jasmin had a tattoo of her dog! We thought it was a unique interpretation of the subject.

Something that made me laugh today!

A lovely guide we talked to in the MAC, she was very fun to talk to and passionate about the exhibits in the galleries.

Recreate a Meme!

There was many ideas for the meme and we decided on Eric Andre “let me in!” meme.

Teamwork!

I had an idea to do a cheesy freeze frame photo to represent us finishing the tasks. Unfortunately, someone had to take a picture and one of the members nicely volunteered.

Something that starts with a U!

This was tricky to find something unique, we decided on the Ulster Uni model in the foyer.

Colourful Objects!

Colourful neon umbrellas that hang in an alley, I love the look of this alley and how lively and colourful it can become. It really stands out on a gloomy day in Belfast.

Animation!

We looked around for a while to find something that fit “animation”. There was an exhibition by Silvia Rosi & Theo Simpson but it was a photo/video exhibition so we decided that this didn’t exactly fit the brief and moved on. We ended up taking a picture of the Animation painted on the studio wall, but we felt it needed more added to it so I quickly animated some effects in Procreate.
