The second week some members of the groups got swapped, Group 1 for this week now includes Kaz, Dan, Finn and myself. This week I arranged a time for a discord meeting to narrow down our activities, discuss ideas and goals that we wanted to accomplish for the week. Before the meeting started I wrote down a couple of questions for myself and the team that I think would keep us on track. These main questions we discussed were: What are the important scenes we think we need? What other characters should be included apart from the main ones? and Why does one of the main characters help the other?
I thought that narrowing down some scenes would be easier to come up with ideas for the thumbnail homework, as well as get creatively different outcomes for the same brief.
Initially we had decided for a murder-mystery story to fit into the world, and Kaz brought up “Giallo” film genre that highlights murder-mystery thrillers with gruesome scenes of a black gloved murderer. After bringing it up with the newer members of the group, we decided it would be a fun style to be inspired by.
Overall I think it was a productive time. I tried to keep clear in my notes and opinions, and ask the team if the ideas were alright with everyone and what they thought.
These are the notes I took during the team meeting:
