For my plan, I’m hoping to network during the EOYS and talk to folk in the animation industry. I don’t have plans on working aboard so now I will look out for jobs on the island and keep it local.
Studios I’ve had my eyes on are Paper owl, Amber Tails and JAM Media. All these studios have worked on projects that I’m a big fan of. Especially Amber Tails. They recently released their game Amber Isle which I adore the style of. It is a games company but their art department seems to be very tight knit and I really strive for that type of environment and the nature of work that they produce.
I think once I finish ulster, it is crucial to keep up with the current changes in the industry. Creative folk are being challenged more than ever at the moment so I understand it will be challenging to find somewhere that I can be secure and stable. I will prioritise being open mind and build up my skills and experience. My time at ulster has opened up many opportunities and I will stay consistent so that I can make my chances of exceling in this industry higher.
