I have now completed all of the lineart for my shots and have moved on to my colour. This is a bit of a hassle because my lineart does not all connect and are on separate layers. Meaning I cannot just fill in the areas needed. Merging layers on ToonSquid lowers the quality of the lineart so this was unfortunately not an option. This will be something to remember for future projects to cut down production time. To colour I have been mostly using the lasso tool and filling in on a separate layer. This was the next best option than filling.

I also coloured in the background, just using an overlay on top of the tonal values I had there already. Another detail I added was that in one of the jump cuts I used one of my animations from first year from the project ‘Spirit Sky Fish’.

Once I completed all of the colour I then moved onto post-production. I am writing this part not too long before submission as I am cutting it close but I was able assemble all my animation and place it in chronological order. I the used ToonSquid to add lighting and effects to fit into each shot. For scene 1, I changed the times of the day for each shot to emphasize the changing of time. I then also added my own dust animation which I quite liked the way it turned out. As I did not leave enough time, I did not use After Effects like I had planned but I still like how my shots turned out.
Since it just a trailer made it two separated parts with two different scores so its more trailer like than short. And that is what I have to submit!
