This has to have been my favourite animation to do out of the 3. It had a lot of really fun key poses, especially the turn before the kick to build up anticipation. I did however, mess the rig controls up a bit, after the kick, I counteracted the rig so it wouldn’t align with the foot base control. I asked Alec for some advice, and he said to reset the transformations of the effected control and then manually pose it again but using the correct control and only if necessary. I did this up until the leg is bent back in after the kick because I didn’t have enough time to manually redo all the key frames and poses.
Another issue I had was the hop that comes after the kick on the swing downwards. In the reference video, the person’s left foot bends at an awkward angle, so they quickly hop and swivel their foot to a better angle as to counter and reset themself. In my animation this ends up looking quite off. From the feedback, Alec suggests that I make the hop a little sooner if I have the time and to look at more reference videos.
