Making a brand wordmark

Research

I googled different space fonts and I found the below website very helpful. I also used google fonts to get cool futuristic looking typefaces that would be suitable for my space/ science app. 

Exploration

I then went to sketch my favourite typefaces out on my ipad to see how they looked with my chosen brand name.

The typefaces I looked at above-

Trench

A-Astro Space

Alien League

Agelast

Sterlict

The above fonts were my favourite and I chose them to experiment with. I actually found it really hard to choose my favourite

Final brand workmark

I decided to go for Trench as I thought this encompassed both a modern and futuristic feel as well as simple and clean.

Reflection & What is next?

I need to experiment with logo designs that pair nicely with with my newly developed brand name and its wordmark.
