The job in question is the design of a website and brand to represent Hill Street in Belfast. I need to create a designed PDF or webpage project proposal with an invoice.
Things to consider
I made a list of things to consider when it comes to building this website and what sort of things would a proposal talk about. I am not really sure how I would talk about the below points in a proposal though…
So I want to look at the culture around Belfast and hill street by looking at well developed websites form this area.
Titanic Belfast website
The Titanic website is modern and crisp feel. It has made great use out of video footage on the home page there which is a nice feature. This is really well developed and I think it’s vibe really reflects the museum and the experience you get when you visit the Titanic Belfast building and surrounding area.
A website about Belfast cathedral
This website visit was kind of a fail as you can see the top left I can’t even see the logo! However this website is nowhere near as cool as it could be I think, the Cathedral quarter is a really lovely place and I feel like the above website doesn’t show it off enough.
What did I learn from this?
This was beneficial, looking at surrounding local websites before I begin my proposal development. this will help me to know what to include when it comes to talking about developing the website for Hill Street, like logos and colours etc. This research allowed me to see the standard and the culture included within these local sites. I am still unsure how I would mention culture within a proposal, do I mention this when I talk about sketching logos etc?
