Design planning
Here I am focusing on the design element. I asked myself the questions what do I want to my cv to look like? What design style should I go for? I decided to brainstorm some ideas and pin the on the wall to take a look at some of the design styles and ideas I could go for. I realise this is a written document with a lot of design limitations as it needs to be scanned and read by employers so the style and layout of every cv is usually the same- simple and plain text layout. However I am trying to think of ways in which I can enhance the design in subtle but effective ways…

Some online inspo for CV
I also looked online for some design inspo. Daniel said to be careful of this as there are a lot fo design templates online for CV’s to follow but a lot of them don’t do it in the right way and include unnecessary info and sections that I don’t need to include in my CV. The ones I have chosen below are all similar they all follow a linear portrait layout and include sections. I like the simplicity and there are no unnecessary visual noise aspects. The online inspo for CV’s is saturating and over whelming they all look different and they all include random, different information so its hard to know what I should include. However I think I am going to follow Daniels advice and follow the standard layout and information that he provided with my own subtle design incorporations.
Reflection
This was beneficial, I got to plan out what I want for my cv and cover letter, it is important to me that my written documents are correct and hold the credible info but I still want my design side to show. So moving forward I want to sketch out some ideas and begin my Digital development. I am decided I am going to add in my brand colours in a subtle way and keep everything else plain and to the point! I also want to take a look at some inspo for a cover letter too.
