History of Type

This project entailed developing 4 versions of the History of Type piece, each version I added onto the website, with numerous features and styling.

Version 1

to begin the project the first version had me simply mark up the plain text with html.

Version 2

For the second version I added styling, navigation and links too. Here I chose a colour palette and I decided on grey tones with hints of peach.

Version 3

Advancing from the second version I added Google fonts into the piece.

Version 4

The final version was the most challenging, I added a table and images. Despite this being the most difficult task in this project I find that these features completed the piece and added some personality to the website.

Reflection

The History of Type project allowed me to further increase and enhance my coding skills as I got to add numerous css features to the website and experiment with layout and style. From completing this project I realise I need to work on my imagery skills, I found it difficult to add affects to the images and I want to improve that and be able to do more with them.
