Reference
This weeks task was to create a bouncing ball animation. So my first move was to find some references that I could observe and learn from.
In my search for a good reference I found this video:
Which showcases the effects that different weights and textures have on how the ball bounces. I studied this video, and tried to understand the momentum behind each weight, so that I could better animate it.
My Bouncing Ball Animation:
I enjoyed animating these studies, and looking at how weight effects the momentum and movement of the ball. I wanted to experiment with a different factor which could effect the object.
A Squishy Ball
I experimented with adding shading and colour to this animation, while I think it could definitely be a lot better, i’m happy overall with how this turned out.
