MY NOTES:
WHAT I’VE LEARNED:
-content design is about what the audience NEEDS, not WANTS
-pull content is sometimes a lot more effective than push content, this is because it makes the audience feel understood and like their specific needs are being met, rather than having a product they don’t need shoved in their face
-using content discovery is necessary before diving into creating and planning a project. This is because it helps you understand what works, what doesn’t work, and what inspires you
-try and understand the vocabulary of the audience before writing your material
-a content audit is the action of checking all the content on a website
-site mapping is necessary to understand where your content goes
-a contact section is a good thing to put at the footer of your website as its not big enough to include as an entire page and this will also allow it to follow the audience throughout the website wherever they go
-i should design for mobile first – its easier to expand than to squish!
