COLOUR ASSOCIATIONS

I want my app to inspire curiosity, joy, and excitement in children or people wanting to learn about natural history.  As a result i think I should use the following colours:

PURPLE: Inspires creativity, and so it works well in learning spaces.

YELLOW: inspires passion, joy, and excitement.

ORANGE:inspires curiosity, excitement, and enthusiasm.

 

COLOURS NECESSARY FOR ILLUSTRATIONS:

I will need mainly green and orangey/ brown colours in my app illustrations as a lot of it is to do with plants, colours of nature, and natural landscapes.  As a result I’m going to attempt to pair these colours together with purple and yellow on colour.adobe.com; this will hopefully help me to find which shades pair well together and which don’t.

I finally checked colour contrast ratio so that I knew which colours to make text throughout the app in order for it to be the most legible.
