This week I researched sound design to do this, I sourced various YouTube tutorials to do this. I searched for those specifically on how to create music for video games. Level design music and transition music were of specific interest. I was aware how much it can affect user experience and how tempo and sounds can affect user interaction. My anxieties surrounding the research was that I would not be able to source anything relevant to our project however I found several tutorials such as:

These tutorials were user friendly and provided excellent insight into what I needed to create to enhance the sound design on the project. I utilized audacity (free version) to assist however I didn’t not have access to the functions specified within the tutorials as a result I downloaded launchpad, a dj/game design creation booth app, this assisted my development in creating my own sounds and mixing these with pre- designed sounds. I spent this week familiarizing myself with the app and its functions before creating the sounds for the group work. I found the app user friendly and felt I could compose effective and quality sounds for the game as a part of the group project.

Maya is used for 3d modelling and was an essential component for my role, when trying to access Maya the software stated my educational package had expired, however the site said it was still active. I had to contact IT support to verify my account however I did not have access to the software. I was anxious as this was an essential component of my work to ensure I complete my components of the group task. As it was not functioning effectively I continued my development on sound design.
