The brief to complete for this week was to create pre-recorded presentations about how well our group was getting on with the World Project.

The first presentations was what the whole group took part in creating, though the final recorded presentation cut my slides out as I didn’t have a working mic at the time we started to record so the group proceeded without my input. I then also created a presentation reviewing both my own work and the teams work as I was annoyed that they took my slides out of the presentation without tell they were going to.

The second part of our brief this week was to have completed our final animation if possible. Earlier this week I had been told by Aodhan how I could improve my animation and was pointed in the right direction. I looked more closely at the Avatar Movies Environment to create a immersive bioluminescent world, I also looked at transformation sequences of werewolves and the Monstars from Space Jam. I was also struggling to work out how to do a basic rigging for my animation so Aodhan sent me a link to a video explaining how to do a basic rig and walk cycle.

My aim was to have the animation finished by Thursday morning but my laptop crashed and I lost the past 5 days of animating work, so I had to start again. This was a minor set back, but as I now had the knowledge of how to animate everything I was able to have it all redone and finished by Friday evening. Here is thee final result;

I also decided to change the ending transition a bit from the rough animatic, as the character is mean to lounge and the screen. I couldn’t work out a way of accurately represent the character jumping at the screen so I looked at the Five Night at Freddy’s games and used the Foxy and Freddy jump scares as my reference for the end of my final animation.
