Ideas Generation:
I began brainstorming ideas independently, I came up with several ideas such as vaporwave, transformers, fight scene, teddy bears etc. To do this I used influences from online media and research sketches to determine possibilities for my project.
By doing this I learned that several of my ideas would be beyond my competency as a student and some would be inappropriate for assessment within the course such as music videos and POV’s.
I continued on from development of ideas, characters and characterisation. Also focussing on landscape effects and environments etc. I used referencing from TRON for vapour waves and toy story for the teddy bear ideas.
On reflection I learned from research the technical aspects of developing characters and characteristics and determining what may be suitable (or not) for this project.
The week was spent deciding upon the final choice selecting from the two ideas. I spent much storyboarding the ideas and reflection upon my skill set. As a result, and on reflation I determined neither idea was appropriate and an entirely new concept needed to be developed.
On reflection I learned that none of the ideas were suitable as they lacked cohesion and felt stepping back and bringing the brainstorming process to develop a new concept would be the best option.
