In class this week we discussed perspective, and did some studies on specifically one point and two point. It was very beneficial to me as I hadn’t fully understood it before this!

We began to explore our group ideas for our final animation this semester, which honestly had a rocky start for me. I didn’t like my first group idea, so motivating myself to do work for it ended up being challenging.

We also discussed composition, and that led us to our homework task, to create 6 thumbnails based on our group ideas focussing on the composition of the shots.

I think the fact that I wasn’t interested in the group’s idea made it harder for me to put as much effort into these as I would have liked, and at the time I wasn’t happy with them, but looking back I don’t dislike them as much. The exercise itself was effective in that I paid attention to the composition of the shots, and it has made me more aware of the composition of my pieces now that we have learned about it in class.
