World of Animation presentation slides

My group was given the short film “Sticking seafarer”. The following three slide are the ones I presented + my references. On slide 1 I focused on the creator themselves and who they are and how that contextualised the story, On slide 2 I analysised the actual cinematography techiques used in the short, mainly focusing on camera movement but also bringing in camera shots, shallow depth of field and crossing the 180 line.

I researched Jeremy Ross and found his portfolio and a demo video which included process images of the short (which are seen on this slide.). I believe the basis of film and artwork analysis is context, by knowing more about the creator and their life understanding their artistic choices and intent is a lot easier. For these reasons along with haven found the information myself, I chose to do this slide.

For the cinematography analysis I tried to connect the background I found from the first slide to the techniques and shots in this one. There were many techniques used but the ones mentioned were the most notable and common.

I added the two main books that I used for research and directly referenced in the presentation. However, I also utilized some additional resources to ensure that I was on the right track with my research and analysis.
