I decided to do a report about the effects of AI technology in the animation industry
Initially, I didn’t know how I’m supposed to make a report as I didn’t how how does a survey work so I asked our course tutor, Yuan, about it. She told me how a survey needs to take results from other people like an interview or a questionaire poll. But this caused an issue for me as I have no idea how to make one itself.
I asked one of my classmates on what to use to make a survey and they showed me that google has something called “google forms” that will allow me to make a survey and check the percentage of the people’s answers.
My strategy is to look for articles about the topic, take down some notes, and use the information to make the questions for my questionnaire.
My tutor said it was ok to have one questionnaire but it must have somewhere around 5 – 10 participants.
I asked my tutor today about what to do with the affects of ai technology in the animation industry. said about how it affects young graduates and to look for articles relating to it
Refined the question to be “Could AI technology negatively affect current jobs in the industry for graduating students?”.
During April 10th 2pm, a group of placement students have come back from placement to talk to the second years about their work experience. I plan on get some interviews as a backup and/or extra data to use for my report and questionnaire.
I asked yuan about my plan but she told me I don’t have enough time left as I need to use the last three weeks to write my report. So, I had to just stick to just interviews about the questions of a i and see if I can write something with it, using the information of it.
I was able to make 8 questions and interview 3 students.
I used the voice memo app on my phone to record the interviews. These were done individually, in person and in one take as the placement students are only able to stay for an hour.
