Intro to 3D Modelling and Texturing Fundamentals – Self-reflection

At the start of the year, my experience with 3D modelling and texturing were non-existent. The only experience I have with animation programs was Adobe Animate so it look a while for me to use Blender.

Most of my learning experience on how to use Blender came from the classwork and homework tutorial videos on Blackboard. The only complaint I had with the tutorials early on was that the man in the videos pressed buttons commands without explaining what buttons he pressed. But through trial and error, I was able to learn a some of the basics on using Blender, but I had to rewatch some of the tutorials as I haven’t fully learned some of the techniques by memory.

I struggled with my assignments as I haven’t gotten used to the constant workload expected from University.

Overall, I’m not confident that I’ll be able to fully use Blender without using the tutorial videos to help me but I hope that in the future I’ll be able to properly use Blender. I should also try to complete my tasks, such as updating my blogs every week, as soon as possible to prevent myself from doing things in the last minute.
