The design on the lid is a dragonfly.

Making a hare sculpture,( process photos and final result) I drew the out line of the hare from the template out onto a thin sheet of steel. I then sawed the outline free from the sheet and then further went in to add creases of the joints. The ears are made of copper and the eyes are brass rivets.
