I am happy overall with how my model ended up. I do think joining the clothes and main character together was a mistake as it limited the the potential for a dynamic pose due to clipping. I wasn’t able to achieve the very stylised eye shape that my design originally had. In future I would would normal maps more to get more muscle/vein detail of the model. I would also try to use height maps in substance painter in future to add more detail. While I am happy the end product just feels a bit stiff to me. I have learnt how to work around the limitations and my gaps in knowledge of blender though so I am proud that I was able to figure things out for myself. I also got into a better workflow compared to the last assignment and I can see I have improved a lot even since then which is really encouraging. I think I may try to look to other sources as a guide as I feel like I am relying too heavily on YouTube videos on how to do certain things in Blender and substance painter.
