here are my animations for the animation, my ghost is the purple one. I’m happy with how the animations came out even though I was very restricted with my model and I had a lot of trouble with the rig.

I had to take on the role of individual character lighting and though they don’t look good they will be edited once there in the animation so that they can merge nicely with the rest of the animation, I’m happy with how some of the characters turned out however I wanted to add a glow to the characters of their main body colour but that wouldn’t work so they all just got a plain white light

This is my final model and the lighting I wanted, I think the finished product looks great! I really like how the lighting looks at the end and the emission from the fire flies and the fire, I think it looks adorable and sets the scene perfectly, though mu model could be improved I believe that this is a good outcome for the model.

This has been a fun experience, I enjoyed making the model and I enjoyed texturing, though there are some issues I am still happy with the outcome. I think when all the components are together it makes a very cute and atmospheric model. Though my model looks a little strange I am still happy with how it came out, looking back if I could do the model again I would make the arms shorter as they look a little uncanny being so long, I would also make the legs a little longer so it looked better when I sat him down. I would try to make the rig for the model so I could pose him better than what he looks like now, as he looks a little strange especially his fist and his tail.
I would retry the retop if I were to make this character again. I feel like the retop is very bad because I had to use the auto retop, I struggled very badly with the retop and I think if I spent more time on it then I would have gotten the hang of it a lot quicker than I actually did, I wish I tried a little harder on it instead of using the auto retop, but I am taking this as a learning experience and I’m happy that I’ve now learnt what I should do instead.
This is my final model shape after I put both the models and the world together, I added some more details like the fire and the little fire flies so that I could make the world more atmospheric and cute, I plan to add some nice lighting too so that it looks more like a little campfire in the woods
This is what my model looks like when he is textured, I had a lot of fun with the textures and I liked painting on the model I found it very fun and probably my favourite part of the experience. to keep him cute I used simple textures that didn’t look to invasive or over the top on my model. I think he turned out well and that he is very cute, even though the mode glitched in a few places and looks a little ugly
I created a little world for my dragon to sit in so he looks like he has a purpose, I was going for a cute and simple world as I felt that making the world too realistic would throw the whole model off, I’m happy with the world especially the logs as I think they turned out very cute!
I also felt that my character wasn’t ‘complex’ enough and that I should add a little more diversity so that the world and character can have a more personality!
After the retop I posed my model using the pose tool because I was trying with the skeleton in Maya and it was not working for me. but I’m glad I was able to get a basic pose using the pose tool even though it looks a little janky and kind of ugly I’m happy with how it came out because I don’t think I would’ve done it any other way.
This was my model after retop. retop was very difficult and I couldn’t get it done right and I had to end up using the auto retop because I was struggling and it was very difficult to grasp for my whole model. I’m not so happy with how my dragon ended up but I’m glad that the retop was completed.
This is when I started to smooth my character to make him cuter and to be able to pose and colour him. the smoothing turned out well though I had some issues with the wings and I had to redo them a few times because some parts of the mesh were too thin and would create openings in the wings. once fixed though they turned out great and I’m glad that I made the wings a little bit more thick so they could handle being smoothed
I started by creating the hard model for my dragon to get the dragon fleshed out and to give me a starting point. I was happy with the initial hard model that I had made in Maya though if I were to change anything then I would make the arms shorter and the legs longer, other than that he is very cute and I was happy with his design. I found this to be a good starting point and I was ambitious for how my model would turn out once smoothed and textured.
