Within all projects, there will be what is referred to as scope or the scope of work. Within this there will be things such as cost, when working with a client as I have read, I will need to determine what is my job and what is the client’s job. For the purposes of this proposal and the work it entails I have determined that Belfast city council would be responsible for parts of the content as they may have taglines, motto’s or a particular brand voice already established within their social media and websites. It would then be their responsibility to deliver these to me and provide a framework or design language to follow for the work I will be doing. It would be the responsibility of Belfast city council to deliver prompt feedback in order for the project to hit its deadlines and milestones, failure to do so would result in work running over and costs increasing. It would be my responsibility as a project manager to plan for delays within the project plan to mitigate the client from incurring extra costs.
Each part within a project will affect the other, a faster schedule will result in poorer quality higher quality will take more time and therefore cost more, Whilst working on a project I must find a balance between these separate but connected parts, in order to deliver the best possible outcome for my client.
