Having gone through a few designs in my head and on paper, I’ve come up with this more solid concept based on previous sketches. I was worried that it might be too simplistic, but when I mentioned that to Mike, he said it should be fine so long as the smaller details are appropriately fleshed out.
Mike also brought up the film ‘Trolls’ (2016) and it’s fuzzy, miniature build-like textures which could make for a good reference in this sort of project.
I’ve never had the chance to see the film, but I’ve certainly enjoyed looking at it. The bright colours and friendly appearance definitely match what I have in my head.
