To make the workload more even between the five of us and to generate more ideas, we decided to create individual storyboards, the best ideas out of which will be spliced together in our animatic.
Bearing in mind the feedback from my storyboards from last semester, I kept the tone and value much simpler for clarity’s sake. Hopefully this gives a good idea of our story at this point.
There are a few different ways we’ve talked about ending our short. The part of them that’s set in stone is that the bullet shot from the dead antagonist’s gun by his vengeful sidekick ricochets off of something and hit’s the camera. In this version I had it so the victor of the duel turns his back being cheered on by the onlookers and the bullet hits the back of his shell, but having the sunbathing bug’s mirror fly out of their hands and in front of the bullet has also been suggested and used. I suspect in the next few days we’ll have this ironed out.
