Reflection
In this module we had to create and design a storytelling character/creature with a demostration of storystelling and use of theory in a scene using Blender and UE5. My Concept for this assignment was inspired by certain animated fantasy films I liked such as Trolls, Shrek and Box trolls. My character represents the donor in many quests. With combination of my original concept of mushrooms.
This assignment for this module has been very challenging but i cant lie when i say that i am happy at how it turned out knowing how hard it was for me to do especially when i have missed lectures due to sickness and what not. Again,i think the modeling and texturing has improved from last year. So ive very pleased at that aspect of this assignment. Furthermore i have more knowledge in the wonders of unreal engine as well using substance.
Things i would change next time is to keep in mind of body loops when retop, and adjusting the fog and colouring of the scene to be less redish in my environment. I also think that my character was too simple and would love to model a more complicated body. CI also think in terms of blog work that i upload more frequesntly through i update it on word and then upload it. I also hope to better my attendance and be more engaging next year.
In conclusion, this module was fun and benefical to the quality of my work and to better my skills as someone who is interested in 3D modeling/texturing. ritizing my pace of the assignment, my workflow was slow and i found myself frustrated alot, i hope to better organized in as i go through this pipeline again.
