Editing and Colour Grading

Editing

I used windows clipclamp for editing drafts of the final short and then for the final short I moved on to Davinci Resolve. I also used procreate to create the title screen text and then used Davinci Resolves animation effects and transitions to keyframe the PIPs “press start” and for “Sour Batch Productions” to enter. I had to mask them  in separately though.

Final Draft:

NOTE: Aaron is suppose to do the sound over my final edit.

I also edited some blooper reels and added sounds to that. With peoples older versions/ extra clips. I also chopped and sped up some clips to have the timing match.

I had trouble with peoples scenes not matching even though I had ask for them to fix these. Arron’s last frame does not match Kaitlin’s first frame so I had to improvised and use a shake effect to “hide” it for continuity sake.

Colour Grading

I used Davinci’s LUTs, however I still had to adjust it. So I used 3 more different nodes, for RGB, Colour space, Contrast and lighting. I tried as best as I can to the scenes match in lighting because of of the critic we had was that the lighting was dull and did not match outside.

This is before and after.
