What makes a good Cover email?
A good cover email has a
- Greeting
- It short and direct (200 -400 words)
- State clearly your years of experience
- Your understanding of the job role
- Show your interest in the company
- Invite them to look at your work
- Welcome to hear back from them
- Sign off

These are example cover emails that I found online that shows clearly how a cover email should be made. I went off to my cover letter off the layout of these two emails. But before that i had to look at what makes a cover email sincere.
What makes a sincere e-mail?
- Avoiding overly formal or informal language
- Researching the studio
- Using personal anecdotes or experiences to connect with the recipient
- Showing genuine appreciation for there time
Cover-email For Billy goat
From all of my Research I went and started my Cover-email. I made a Cover-email stating shortly who I was, the skill and experiences I have. While writing this I was look at the job description criteria, appealing myself to the job. I even went out in researching the company and found the last year student to be employed by Billy goat and asked her how she thought about the job. I explained this is why I have an keen interest to the studio. I mention her in my cover email to show that I am keen in the studio.
The final cover email only has 222 words keeping it in an acceptable word count
