Below is a screenshot of the cafe scene I made in class. I used the tools I learned modelling this ruff scene and applied them to the first modelling challenge.
I completed the first hard surface modelling challenge to create a table and chairs featuring a martini glass. I wanted modern art deco-inspired furniture. The table legs were made from a subdivided square with its centre cut out. I then bridge the gaps between the edges and duplicate the shape.
The martini glass was a cylinder with its top half extruded. I copied the top of the glass, scaled it down and assigned a new shader to make the alcohol in the glass.
I followed along with this tutorial during my self-directed study time.
Below are screenshots of the model I made following this tutorial.
