Meet Your Type – Fontshop

I read through this digital book by Fontshop before beginning to create my wordmark for my brand as Daniel had mentioned that it talks about choosing the right type etc. I definitely did find it to be very useful as a foundation to type before making any decisions for my own brand. When reading it, I created a mind map of some tips, pointers or questions that I found useful to jot down while also splitting it into a few different sections – type selection, type pairing, type distortion and the details. 

I learned that this is a great first step as a designer before any creation and that using books as primary research source will definitely benefit me in the future. I really enjoyed how easy this one was to read as it was split up nicely, used different diagrams and colours to maintain focus and overall took its own tips and tricks on board in their different type and layouts.
