I think this was one of my favourite projects to do. I started off with the idea of using hot glue on my recycled cardboard to join the house together but realised that I had unfortunately run out and was too late to get more. I started to use tape and it was working but it just didn’t look the part and it wasn’t sticking any of my leaves or lavender on properly. And then I had a idea… candle wax, yes I was very careful and it worked out so well. It was such a calming and therapeutic way of doing this task and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Alt Means – paper house
Alt means – 10 blind faces
Alt Means – portrait
Here are photographs of a portrait I did of a classmate (Kaitlin). I personally don’t think faces is my strong point but I really did enjoy the challenge. I tried my best to involve my strength which is paint and texture. I used a palette knife to layer the paint and build it up to enhance detail. Then used a paint brush and black paint to insinuate lines and detail.
