Photography – Letter Patterns and Mark Making

Rough mark making with my S, I and T letters, certain ones such as the T were drawn in a way to create a unique pattern.
Slightly more complex/detailed patterns here with my D, O and M letter forms. The D was traced around and coloured multiple times to create the likeness of a school of fish. The O was a sponge dipped in Indian ink and then pressed onto the paper, and the M is charcoal used to replicate the individual objects comprising the M shape.
The A shape formed out of two coat hangars, traced around in black pen and subsequently outlined in gold and silver. The colour scheme was used in conjunction with the border effect (based on the appearance of the A) to allude to the Art Deco style.
