For our sculpture task we were asked to come up with something that included both science and nature. From this I decided I wanted to create a sculpture based on Mother Nature and include the double helix DNA structure.
After I created my moodboard I came up with an initial design idea but quickly realised that the bottom half of the structure would not be able to support the top half of the design.
I came up with a new sketch that still included that aspects I wanted my sculpture to consist of but it was something that would now realistically be stable and be strong enough to stand on its own.
