RESEARCH:

BRANDING MY WORK/REFLECTION:

branding ones own self with a particular status or icon creatively can mark ones own individual work allowing easy recognition in the field desired.

in order to get jobs it uniquely separates yourself from competitors and allows consistency across work. it makes a statement with your work that its professional and clear. a lot of the techniques I follow when branding my work i take from advertising it is best to keep work consistent, atheistically pleasing and memorable. making your talents and personality a highlight and ensures the best possible outcome.

in the industry today as a creative it is best to establish a website and social media l that conveys a theme across the platforms mine is pastel it also corelates back to my art style and types of work i enjoy producing. studios want to see your best creative work but they specifically look for artists catering to their specific studio through portfolios so keeping your cv, show reel and portfolio in a theme but meeting the requirements allows your personality to shine.

when tackling the practice as part of this course i took my already owned work and re worked some minor changes that were needed in order to get a  more polished professional look however a lot of research was undertaken in order to establish this using the research gathered on how to make each piece successful I improved my cv, show reel, portfolio and cover email.

COURSE 2 – PRACTICAL

having applied for my first job in animation and getting a placement at enter yes I already submitted a standard of material in order to get accepted as a 2D animator however this is not the exact field I wish to work in once i graduate. For this practical I want to show how I would approach re applying to enter yes with a more professional standard of new material and updated work.

I have created my cv and cover email in a more general based style aimed at a role such as coordinator and 2D animator.

2D ANIMATOR JOB AT ENTER YES:

Hello this is lyndsey clarke. I have been informed of a position that may be available for me at Enter yes to be part of the 2D animation team that is at current comprised of two friends of mine who recommended me to this role. receiving a placement alongside the team would be very beneficial for me to gain experience in this industry of work.

Having seen the 2D animation that enter yes creates and the many creative projects taking on different mediums. I believe I would be a great fit as I am very flexible with styles, I am confident in my 2D animation skills and very strong in the animation pipeline. I would definitely be set of learning more from the team to further my skillset and to help create amazing projects.

Attached I have included my most relevant work to show what I can offer the team. I am very motivated to learn and to work for Enter Yes and I am willing to help in anyway towards any project I am very passionate about this opportunity and I  hope to hear back.
