Colours Study

It was good to have a chance to get to work on colouring once again as it’s an aspect of art and design that i wish to improve on, this task gave me good chance to practise with shading on how to properly blend different colours tones in with each other, i also looked more into the idea of colour theory and played with various different colours in order to create an atmosphere that would be felt by those colours, i also played around with different types of complementary colours throughout to try give a sense of feeling to an environment, though the choices of colours may not have fit the environment i chose, that being a exotic forest, it was also interesting to dissect various shots from some shows and movies i enjoy to create colour palates that made up their scenes.

Tone And Value study

I had never really looked into the study of tonal values before this task, simply choosing to try and get better at colouring, and shading instead, however when i worked through these tasks i began to see the usefulness of tonal, seeing how they can easily colours saturation may fall the further into the distance it goes, though I’d say my biggest struggle with it was when i attempt to show a sense of depth in a more flat and barren environment, as tie shades of grey simply looked like a sheet rather than a flat surface that’s being drawn into the distance, though despite that,  it was an interesting task that i will probably look more into.
