Sustainability

When looking into what i could choose when talking about sustainability, i decided that rather than simply using an art piece or image related to the idea, i choose an animated video, the animation in the video shows the message in a fluid and creative way as well as being much more informative and memorable than a simple piece of art, that may alliantie some viewers due to the issue of interpretation, the video in particular that i chose was a video regarding the issue of how cheap clothing causes overseas clothing companies sacrifice many workers rights in order to prioritize efficiency and price on their product to outsell their competitors, this type of work isn’t efficient though in the long term, for the workers or the environment, workers end up making minimal profit for the work they do, whilst the higher ups usually takes in much more of the profit made from the sales, up to 85% of unused textiles are simply dumped each year and the production would also cause plastic to be dumped into the ocean, due to the vast and expansive amount of factories that produce these clothes, this has caused the worlds clothing industry to make up almost 10% of the world’s carbon emissions, though there are organizations in place to both put a stop to the abuse of workers rights as well as shape industry factories to become much more environmentally efficient, though it all depends on the consumer themselves and what they purchase, as continuing to choose unethically made clothes perpetuates the cycle of inefecient in the work area and environment, though choosing alternative clothes could help put a stop to these industries abusing their work forces and the environment.
