3D Digital Literacy – Week 4, Substance Painter

For our fourth week of class, we were walked through how to use substance painter for texturing our models using a war hammer as an example. Below is my finished war hammer.

War Hammer:

I found using substance painter to texture a model far easier than using photoshop. I think my war hammer, minus the blood, turned out pretty well and definitely was fun to do. I learned a lot about using substance painter and the different tools that can be used within it. I think the use of masks is interesting and a really easy way of making sure the right parts of the model are textured right. I will definitely use substance painter for my own model.
