His art style is very stylized with a lot of typography worked into his illustrations. He have done works for several clients including covers for magazines, Tour posters, a mural in the Lyric Theatre in NY and much more. A lot of his personal works includes a lot of fan made design of posters of music, movies and also political movements.
What’s so unique about his art is how he works words and phrases into the art. Like this illustration with Serverus Snape for example. Where he shaped the doe patronus with words, which is a fantastic way to portray it and this phrase which is a very famous one he says in the Happy Potter series when he declare his love for Lilly.
Another piece he made was this poster for the American singer Damien Jurado for his European tour.
What’s unique about this is yet the whole image, where the singer is portrayed as mist or smoke and the information about the tour is illustrated as if they were waves in an ocean.
These are two illustrations that stood out for me, in a graphical design and commercial sense.
They are unique and eye catching, they have this flow which is important when working with graphical design.
From the looks of his other works, he uses a surrealistic style which looks like graphite and water colour, which of course can be done digitally as well. His work have a very consistent flow in terms of what’s illustrated. He manages to make the object or typography flow with the illustration and what’s happening which at time can be a veyr challenging thing to do. Which is why his illustrations and designs are incredible.
