My projects in foundation year at UU

Experimenting with Letters

This is one of the projects I looked forward to the most.

Being creative and create with odd materials have always been an interest of mine, since I truly get to use my true creativity for it.

I wanted to make this project a bit more personal, since I’m from another country, and we have extra letters in our alphabet. I miss my home dearly and barely get to use my language anymore so I saw it as an opportunity.

It was a struggle to find unique materials for each letter since my funds are limited, so I tried my best to find random items in my room to make into a letter. My favorite letter is the A which I made from a nail trimmer. I like it because it reminds me of a mechanical aesthetic.

We were also told to experiment and make phrases with our letters.

I made a few phrases and I stylized one digitally.
