The idea behind my sculpture is that the bigger circle is holding up the little one, and both are being supported by planters with vines and flowers. This is supposed to represent how diverse we are, none of us are the same but the important thing is to create equal opportunities for everyone regardless of our differences, and that with out the environment we wouldn’t be able to survive, highlighting its importance. To embrace the idea of equal opportunity I would like the sculpture to appeal to the five senses; sight, sound, touch, taste, smell so that it can be embraced by all. For this there will be solar lights on top of each circle to reflect the coloured glass at night, the planters will provide touch and smell, wind chimes for sound and a brail plaque. The sculpture would be made from coloured glass, or to be environmentally friendly broken pieces of CD’s to reflect the light.
