Taking inspiration from Peter Avery from Blurb books exhibition on artist’s sketchbooks, unfortunately I couldn’t find information on Avery but he has used mono printing in his sketchbook which I was interested in trying. I wasn’t sure if I could do it with paint then I decided to try oil pastel as I thought it might pick up the lines. This worked really well, I drew the image from memory the same as the oil pastel study on it above, this piqued my interest in mono-printing and I might pursue it further when printing.
