Introduction to 3D Modeling
This week we started our new module 3D Digital Literacy. Our first task for this module involved us creating a vase in Maya. I’ve never done modelling before, so this was a completely new experience for me.
I ended up making 3 different vases this week, as I wanted to get used to Maya since I’ve never used it before. For my first model, I made a very basic vase. I think the shape of the vase turned out well, however I think it would look better with a texture instead of a flat colour.
For my second vase I followed a tutorial so I could make a glass vase using Arnold.
For my third vase I tried adding flowers. I think they turned out well for my first attempt, however I think they could be improved if I used a different texture.
