The theme of my zine will be horror films from the 80s to present day. I will show off big moments in horror cinema, landmark films and genres and trends that birthed from each era.
I will incorporate both illustration and graphic design. Here are a few ideas for what it will contain and a draft of the structure I will be going for.
Here some photos of my collection of horror films. I will incorporate these as the backgrounds for title cards when I get to each decade. I will draw in the titles.
In terms of inspiration for the style I’m going for, I’ll try to creatre a style similar to classic movie posters. The style of the poster will be based around what kind of movie it is (for a film like Shaun of the Dead, I’ll make it look like a Romeo zombie film).
I’ll also include an illustration style inspired by 70s horror manga.
