For this module, we had to recreate famous paintings using photography. It had to have the elements such as subject, lighting and composition of the original painting, but it could be modernised. For my photos, I took reference from an art style called “Still Life”. Still Life is a form of art based around inanimate commonplace objects and presenting them in a new unique way, mostly through irregular compositions. That’s what I tried to portray through my photo recreations. I bought some fruit and took these photos. It was odd comparing the old cutlery and cooking tools to their modern day equivalents through my photos.
