We were tasked with creating simple animations using the animation site Krita. For me the website wouldn’t work, so I used the app Procreate. I was more comfortable using this app as I had used it before and have done a couple of animations.
As a continuation on the 12 principles of animation that we learnt about, we had to create an animation based on the principle of squash and stretch. It is seen as the most important principle as it gives the object/ character gravity, weight, mass and flexibility. For this i animated a bouncy ball as I thought a 2D circle would be easiest to apply this principle to. I am happy with then outcome and I feel like I was able to grasp this concept.
We then looked at the idea of timing and spacing. For this I used an animated car to portray this concept. I thought the car could easily demonstrate the principle of timing as it naturally would accelerate and decelerate by itself.
