Zara
For the theme ‘Place’ I have chosen an image from the womenswear high street brand called Zara and its 2020 collection that is seen on its website. This image features a model who appears to be posing for Zara’s clothing collections while crouching on a cooker. The positioning of the image is very controversial and has an odd look when customers are shopping online via the Zara website. I find it extremely interesting how risky yet attention grabbing this move was by the brand Zara to successfully stand out, get people talking and get the media to pay attention. In its own way it has been an effective publicity stunt and attracts click bait which results in a higher volume of customers and viewings and ultimately higher Sales which I admire.
